SRS Labs has announced the latest generation of hardware audio enhancement accessory for iPhone, iPod touch, iPod nano, and iPad - the SRS iWOW 3D. The company has designed the hardware to work in tandem with a free SRS iWOW app (supposedly not available for the nano as well), downloadable from the App Store now.
Described as a premium audio accessory, the new SRS iWOW 3D is available in two models: the iWOW-3DHF, and the iWOW-3D.
One on end, the device is housed in a slim, sleek new satin black enclosure that features an extended line-out headphone jack.
On the other end, customers will find a port that has been designed to seamlessly connect to the standard 30-pin connector of their iDevice.
Both versions of the SRS iWOW boast the new SRS iWOW 3D adapter, but in different package configurations.
According to SRS Labs, the available configurations are:
· Five interchangeable color faceplates that create a personalized appeal (HF model only)
· Custom-designed, high-quality in-ear earbuds aimed to further enhance the SRS iWOW 3D experience (HF model only)
· Free SRS iWOW app for greater playback customization (both HF and base models)
· Exclusive offer to purchase SRS iWOW for iTunes software (for Mac and PC) at a significant discount directly from SRS Labs’ online store (both HF and base models)
· Illustrated quick start guide (both HF and base models)
“Our previous two generations of the iWOW audio adaptor have enjoyed a great deal of success and we feel this latest generation takes the concept to the next level,” said Allen H. Gharapetian, vice president of Marketing for SRS Labs.
“The explosive popularity of Apple’s touch-based products, including the new iPad, has connected consumers to a nearly endless volume of multimedia content that has resulted in a greater desire for a more engaging entertainment experience on-the-go,” Gharapetian added.
“The new iWOW 3D provides just that by bringing HD-quality sound to Apple’s popular portable devices,” Gharapetian concluded.
The SRS iWOW App requires iOS 3.1.2 or later.
