SQLite, an in-process library that implements a self-contained, serverless, zero-configuration, transactional SQL database engine, is now at version 3.8.3.

SQLite 3.8.3 features a large number of changes and bug fixes. A complete list of updates is available in the official announcement.

Highlights of SQLite 3.8.3:

• Support has been added for common table expressions and the WITH clause; • The printf() SQL function is now supported; • The SQLITE_READONLY_DBMOVED error code has been added; • Arbitrary expressions have been added, including function calls and subqueries, in the filename argument to ATTACH; • A VALUES clause has been added to be used anywhere a SELECT statement is valid; • Improvements have been added to the comments in the VDBE byte-code display when running EXPLAIN; • The "%token_class" directive has been added to LEMON parser generator.
