14 DAY TRIAL // Almost a month after the third Community Technology Preview of SQL Server 2012 codenamed Denali became available to early adopters, Microsoft is providing a Product Guide for the release. Testers have been able to download SQL Server 2012 codenamed Denali CTP3 as of July 12, 2011, with the Redmond company stressing that it’s getting closer to wrapping up the next major iteration of its data platform.
Along with the actual Community Technology Preview, early adopters have been able to also download product documentation for CTP3.
And as of this week, testers can also grab the SQL Server code name 'Denali', Community Technology Preview 3 (CTP 3) Product Guide via the Microsoft Download Center, free of charge.
“The SQL Server code name 'Denali' Community Technical Preview 3 (CTP3) Product Guide download contains the latest datasheets, white papers, click-through and auto-running demonstrations, hands-on lab previews, technical presentations, and other useful links to help you evaluate the SQL Server code name 'Denali' CTP3 release. The Product Guide organizes the content for easier viewing,” Microsoft reveals.
My advice to testers is to plan ahead, because the SQL Server 2012 Codenamed Denali CTP 3 Product Guide is quite a hefty download, weighing in at no less than 456 MB.
The guidance is packed inside a .ZIP file, and early adopters running SQL Server 2012 codenamed Denali CTP3 need to unpack it in order to access the contents.
