Ever thought how it would be if you could go around doing whatever you do every day without having to carry all those devices that help you accomplish your daily tasks and keep you online and connected to your business partners, friends and family? Samsung has a solution for all your troubles, a solution that goes under the name of SPH-P9000 Deluxe MITs, unveiled at the Mobile WiMAX Summit 2006 and coming as an Ultra-Mobile PC, PDA and mobile phone all-in-one solution.

You don't believe this is true and you think I'm mocking you? Take a look at the picture on the left. That is the most richly featured contortionist mobile device you can find on the world wide market at the moment and I'm more than sure that if you have the money to buy it, you won't be sorry if you do it (you'll see why after reading what I have to say about it in this article).

When looking at it, you might have the first impression that this is a QWERTY keyboard with a small screen on top of it, but it's not that simple because you get a lot more than that. The SPH-9000 comes with a 1 GHz CPU that runs a Windows XP operating system, having at its disposal 30 Gigabytes of internal storage and 256 MB of memory to run all your programs with ease and no hassles.

The Samsung customers that will buy this device will have the opportunity to enjoy staying online with the wireless Mobile WiMAX connectivity, at the same time talking with their friends using the CDMA EV-DO mobile phone technology. Together with these connectivity features, the user will also have at its disposal a five inch WVGA display, a full QWERTY keyboard that will make you finally enjoy typing on a mobile device, an MP3 player, VOD, and a 1.3 megapixel digital camera.

Kitae Lee, the president of the Telecommunication Network Business at Samsung Electronics, has declared after the Mobile WiMAX Summit 2006 that "our new SPH-P9000 is just one of the few Mobile WiMAX convergence devices to be introduced to the world. Samsung will expand our portfolio of mobile convergence devices, as we expect to expand our global Mobile WiMAX services globally. Samsung will continuously drive the market with pioneering telecommunication technology and services. Samsung will meet the demands of Mobile WiMAX services and convergence devices by delivering the right combination of technology and design".

If you haven't guessed it until now, after all the amazing things said of this high-tech mobile all-in-one geek toy, than you should know that you won't have the pleasure to get your hands on it, at least not before the Korean people will, because the Samsung SPH-P9000 convergence device will be launched in the Land of the Morning Calm in the first half of 2007.

Until having the chance to give it a closer look, we should enjoy all the pictures will get from our luckier Korean friends and hope that Samsung hurries up with the launches in other parts of the world.
