Even if not a very big hype has been made about the launch of the M500 handset from
Samsung on the Sprint network, I couldn't miss mentioning about it because this a phone with a very nice design that should have more fans than it actually does.
Probably there won't be many of you that will agree with
me on this matter but, as an individual that loves the old style designed clamshells, I just had to do it and I hope you'll understand the fact that I didn't begin writing about it when seeing its spec sheet, that - to tell you the truth - will not impress anyone, but because of the classic and very simple
design that gives me some nostalgic feeling that I can't yet explain.
The M500 doesn't have a lot to impress its user with, the most important feature that it will offer being - as far as I can tell - the
Power Vision based services added by the carrier. Added to this you will also be provided with a 262k color internal display and an external one of the same quality, a 1.3 megapixel digital camera, 50 MB of internal memory that goes together very well with the microSD memory expansion card slot and the famous Sprint Location Service that will give you turn by turn driving directions and access to local maps wherever you may go.
The people that will decide to give it a try will be able to purchase it from the Sprint stores for a retail price of 279.99 $ and the ones that want to give it a longer trial - 79.99 $ after they put their signature on a 2 year service agreement and, of course, the deduction of the instant and the mail-in rebate.
