To version 2.3.0 and 3.5.2, respectively

SPB Software, the leading mobile software solutions provider, has just released updates for two of its most popular applications available for users of a handset that runs under Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system, namely SPB Weather and SPB Mobile Shell. The former has now reached version 2.3.0, while the latter saw a minor update to version 3.5.2.

SPB Weather 2.3.0 can also be seen as a minor update for the company's very popular Windows Mobile application, especially since there are only two issues the new update addresses. First of all, it should be mentioned that the app now comes with Meteonova as the location-based weather data source, since Gismeteo has been removed from the equation. Secondly, there are a series of minor improvements for the user interface that the new software version brings to the table.

As for the SPB Mobile Shell, an even more popular app from the company's suite of solutions for Microsoft's platform, it also received a minor update, one that comes more like a bugfix release: - Fixed issue with SMS opening on HTC HD2 - Fixed issue with alarms on HTC HD2 - Fixed issue with settings opening on HTC Windows Mobile 6.5 devices - Backlight support for new devices - Added a possibility to send MMS from an unnamed calllog entry.

The two applications are available for purchase from the company's website, with SPB Weather priced at USD 19.95, and SPB Mobile Shell featuring a price tag of USD 29.95. However, the company offers the new updates for free to users who purchased previous versions of its software solutions, most of you might already know that. At the same time, the company offers those unfamiliar with its products the possibility to give them a try via 15-day trial versions, so that one can make sure the applications satisfy one's needs.
