On Monday, leading mobile software solutions designer SPB Software announced that its ultramodern user interface solution has received the “Best UX” award from the leading Korean tech newspaper “IT Today.”

The award ceremony was held in Seoul, and saw a number of five companies receiving various awards in different categories.

The Best UX award came to SPB Software, as a recognition of the company's position as the established expert in offering advanced mobile user interface software technologies.

“SPB earned the award for its revolutionary UX solution, SPB Mobile Shell. CEO of IT Today, Yoon Jae Lee said at the event.

“The award symbolizes not only their dedicated commitment in continuously improving the user experience on existing versions of Windows Mobile and Symbian, but also for their creatively innovative ideas – enriching the Android user experience to a simpler, more intuitive one.”

The multi-platform SPB UI Engine should offer the base for the building of appealing 3D interfaces for various mobile phones out there.

SPB Mobile Shell comes as a reference product that incorporates the capabilities of the multi-platform SPB UI Engine, the company notes.

At the same time, SPB Software notes that the SPB Mobile Shell solution “highlights some of the innovative UX components to assemble the core mobile experience.”

The SPB UI Engine is a modular 3D platform, that offers great optimizations for the delivery of next generation, high-performance mobile user interfaces.

The solution already powers various devices, shipped on the market from leading handset vendors, including Sony Ericsson, Toshiba, and O2, the company announced.

According to the software designer, its SPB Mobile Shell 5.0 for Android solution is currently in private beta testing.
