Leading mobile software developer SPB Software has just announced a collaboration with Fujitsu for the creation of an improved user interface on the company's new Android Fujitsu REGZA Phone T-01C device, and for the expanding of the functionality of that handset.

According to the company, the mobile phone was created mainly for offering users a great entertainment device that also packs the benefits of conventional mobile phones.

“To meet the needs of users who want to have the convenient and eye-thrilling interface, easy access to all frequently used functions and follow the latest updates on their favorite social networks Fujitsu invited SPB Software to develop the number of usability tools,” the duo announced.

The result of the collaboration between the two companies should be a great mobile user experience. The solution is said to include the NX!UI home-screen interface, which should come as a replacement for the Launcher.

The solution would offer users fast access to a number of no less than 16 different services and features, including calculator, RSS, calendar, most visited sites and most used apps, bookmarks, popular social networks, and more, all via 16 pallets.

"The T-01C is our all-in-one Android-based smartphone which is available in Japan from NTT DOCOMO. It employs NX!UI, an original, easy-to-use interface,” Hiroshi Nomura, General Manager, Fujitsu Toshiba Mobile Communications Limited, stated.

“We turned to our long-term partner SPB Software, with their extensive mobile UI engine expertise, to support us in creating optimized and highly intuitive user interface for Home-screen with 16 palette types and StarMemos.”

At the same time, SPB Software came up with StarMemo, which is exclusively available for Fujitsu, an application that enables the creation, storage and sharing of a wide range of notes.

These notes could include text, in addition to other information as well, including website news, map routes from a train station, or tweets.

“StarMemo allows saving handwritten and voice messages, photos and videos. All the saved StarMemos can be uploaded directly to mixi, Twitter or Picasa accounts and shared with friends,” the company announced.

Moreover, SPB Software developed a set of widgets that offer fast access to the alarm, digital time and notes. More info on the project can be found here.
