SPB Software, the developer behind the popular SPB Shell 3D user interface has just announced the availability of SPB UI Builder.

The application is aimed at OEMs specialized in user interface customization. With many Android OEMs producing hundreds of customizations annually for various carriers around the globe, the amount of resources spent while developing and testing these customized versions is tremendous.

However, with SPB UI Builder OEMs will be able to quickly customize SPB Shell 3D, a standard UI solution, where UI elements can be flexibly and easily changed to meet the branding requirements.

Some of the UI elements that can be altered without direct involvement of software engineers include: 2D graphics (widgets, panels and other UI controls), widget's and full screen panel's layout, static 3D object and 3D model animations.

The new solution comes in handy for OEMs especially that they need fast and easy customization, which is important when a limited number of branded devices have to be quickly drafted for special events or for brand's ad campaigns.

In addition, the new SPB UI Builder can operate the changes directly to the devices over-the-air for real-time preview.

Once the customization process is complete, an APK installation package can be created, right from the toolset via a single click, to build a custom shell solution hosting the desired design.

Other highlights of the SPB UI Builder toolkit include:

- 2D graphics customization; - 3D models and animation customization; - Widgets and panels layout customization; - Default configuration; - Over-the-air push to the device; - Creating customized .apk installation package.

According to SPB Software, more than 15 leading device manufactures and carriers across the globe have already shipped UI solutions from SPB Software.

SPB's new UI Builder might be the perfect solution for UI customization that OEM's, carriers and brands have been looking for all this time.
