SPARKLE Computer, a company specialized in graphics cards, announced today the release of an upgraded version of the Nvidia based GeForce 8600 GTS card that received an increased amount of video memory. The new version of the GeForce 8600 card now sports an impressive 512MB of VRAM, making it the perfect choice for gamers looking for good performance at an affordable level.

The GeForce 8600 GTS card is based on the Nvidia G84 graphics chip architecture that features a number of innovative technologies like unified hardware and driver architecture, dynamical processing power allocation and compliance with the latest DirectX 10 and OpenGl 2.0 specifications. The 8600 series of graphics chips also integrates technologies such as the Nvidia Lumenex Engine that provides support for the DirectX 10 Shader Model 4.0, Nvidia Quantum Effects technology that is used to accurately simulate physics events and the GigaThread Technology that is used in order to perform advanced parallel computations that are necessary in the next generation shader programs.

SPARKLE new GeForce 8600 GTS features 512MB, a 256MB increase in the video memory department over the previous model and a graphics processing unit, GPU for short, running at 675MHz. The high speed GDDR3 memory is clocked at 1800MHz, while the interface between it and the GPU is 128 bits wide. The new GeForce 8600 GTS also comes with no less than 32 stream processors that are used in shader programs and are clocked at 1450MHz for incomparable performance in DirectX 10 compliant games. "Embracing 512MB high capacity GDDR3 memory, SPARKLE GeForce 8600 GTS 512MB Graphic Card is a higher performing version of standard 8600GTS graphic cards. Bigger video memory can enable SPARKLE GeForce 8600 GTS 512MB Graphic Card to bring more exquisite gaming detail and unparalleled reality to upcoming DirectX 10 gaming, such as Crysis etc. Now pc gamers can enjoy HD gaming resolutions with mainstream prices."

According to the news site vr-zone which cites the company's press release, the GeForce 8600 GTS is HD video enabled thanks to the PureVideo HD VP2 technology that allows users to enjoy Blu-ray and HD DVD movies playing back on mainstream computer systems while maintaining the central processing unit at a low level of utilization, while reducing overall heat, power consumption and noise.
