A new registry cleaner to improve system performance and stability

The software world just got a new fighter against slow-running systems and performance issues that dastardly prevent you from using the PC the fast way. The creators of SPAMfighter have just released SLOW-PCfighter, an application whose only purpose is to pep up your computer and maintain a high-performance standard.

The kickstart for creating the application was a survey conducted on over 500 PC users that showed that 78% of the users would not buy a new computer despite its slow performance. The study revealed that, despite the modest functioning of the system, a very small number of users would actually buy a new machine. For those willing to squeeze the last drop of performance out of the system before replacing it with a new one or upgrading it, SLOW-PCfighter may come as a good compromise considering its $19.95 price and scan speed.

SLOW-PCfighter is designed to rid the computer of errors preventing it from running more speedily. It targets unused entries in the registry, results of incomplete software uninstalls, drive installations, cookies and startup elements that bring a negative impact to your computer's performance.

Commenting on the launch, Martin Thorborg, co-founder and CMO of SPAMfighter says, “We launched SLOW-PCfighter in response to our users’ desire to improve performance without having to buy a new PC. With the majority of people choosing to go without a new computer this year due to the current economic climate, it is important that they are armed with the right tool that enables them to get the most out of the PC they currently own. SLOW-PCfighter is our version of CPR for PCs, meaning we give their PCs a new lease on life by seamlessly eliminating unnecessary programs and bugs to enhance performance and speed.”

Armed with quick system assessment engine and a startup manager as well as automatic backup options and a task-scheduling tool, SLOW-PCfighter provides the user with a very easy-to-navigate interface that excludes complicated settings and menus so that anyone can easily restore the speed of the system without any hassle. The list of registry areas it can hunt down the error in comprises 15 references. Among these we count font entries, uninstall entries, application paths, file associations, startup items and program shortcuts.

The application offers links to SPAMfighter's other products, such as the anti-spam utility bearing the company's name, an antivirus and an antispyware. With SLOW-PCfighter the Danish company boasting over 6 million users battling spam seems to shift focus from the security and system protection against malware field of activity to the system performance and maintenance one, making its entry on the registry cleaners market.
