It is not every day that a company comes into being, but Soundtrack of Life Republic chose to make its start in style, releasing both in-ear and on-ear headphones that won't inflict irreparable damage upon one's finances.

Soundtrack Of Life Republic is a new audio product development company led by CEO Kevin Lee, (also known as Monster Cable's VP of marketing), Scott Hix (President and COO) and Seth Combs (CMO).

"Everyone at SOL REPUBLIC believes in the power of music. It touches us and moves us in profound ways. SOL REPUBLIC is a group of music lovers who have a passion to deliver better music experiences to everyone. At our core, we believe that music is the soundtrack of everyone's life and when music sounds better, you feel better,” said Kevin Lee, co-founder and CEO.

“We named the company SOL REPUBLIC after that belief, SOL is an acronym for Soundtrack Of Life because music provides the soundtrack for every memory and for the profound and everyday moments in your life. Today that means engineering great-sounding, fashionable headphones and creating a community dedicated to music experiences; however, our future will take us far beyond."

The Amps in-ear headphones and the Track on-ear models are, practically, the first move this company has ever taken.

The former is a fairly simplistic product line, with flat, circular ear pieces but clear sound generation. They are available in both standard and HD models and with a price of $60.

Meanwhile, the Track on-ear products ($100) are sturdy, have extra-wide ear cushions and interchangeable headbands, plus other design elements.

"It's time for all music fans to own a headphone with great sound and style that can withstand the realities of everyday use. SOL REPUBLIC hits that mark," continued Lee. "After more than a year of development, we're thrilled to launch our innovative company and its unique headphones."

The press release says that shipments will start in late August, meaning that online stores will have them up soon, if they don't already.
