Hip hop and feuding with other rappers are SO much fun!

Iggy Azalea thinks that she’s being accused of cultural appropriation because she’s a woman and she’s white, even comparing herself to Eminem and saying that he was never accused of such a thing. In reality, Iggy’s brand in rap music isn’t embraced by other rappers because she’s a middle-class white woman from Australia, who raps as if she was raised in the projects.

The first video embedded below, a skit on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, which “Thor” actor Chris Hemsworth hosted, best illustrates all that is wrong with Iggy’s image as a rapper.

Chris himself makes an appearance as Iggy’s cousin Rafty, while Iggy is played by the uber talented Kate McKinnon. Sasheer Zamata plays Azealia Banks, the rapper who’s been the most vocal about Iggy’s fakery, who got involved with her in at least 4 major Twitter feuds, by my count.

Azealia always thought it was hypocritical of Iggy to sell her music as if it came from reality, just as it was hypocritical of the mainstream public and critics to embrace her as the real deal, when she was only putting on an act.

Iggy, on the other hand, thought Azealia only criticized her because she was jealous and because she was the most successful artist of the two. Luckily, Iggy quit all social media last week, so we’ll never know what she thought of this skit. Seeing how spot-on it is, I can only imagine she would have had nothing positive to say.

As a bonus, you will also find below Chris’ opening monolog (with his 3 famous brothers making an appearance), and two of the best skits: Avengers defeat Ultron, and an ad for Dolce & Gabbana perfume.

Enjoy!
