Video game publisher SNK Playmore has announced that it has now launched two old and beloved video games on the PlayStation Portable via the Minis initiative from Sony, with players now able to download and play both Bermuda Triangle and Gold Medalist.

Bermuda Triangle allows gamers to pilot a big ZIG aircraft and up to three SYD escort fighters as they battle hordes of unidentified enemies in levels that zip forward and backward across time and pace.

The game was initially released in 1987 and has been a precursor to the entire arcade top down shooter genre.

Gold Medalist allows players to choose from 192 athletes from 8 countries and compete in 9 sporting events like the high jump, boxing, swimming and the discus throw, all taking place during the 1988 Seoul Olympics.

Both Bermuda Triangle and Gold Medalist are sold for 2.99 dollars (2.29 Euro) and SNK Playmore says that it has plans to release more retro arcade titles for the PSP and the PS3 via the Minis initiative.
