Or to your teapot...

The idea of having the tea or coffee ready by the time they get home, especially since all they've got to do is send a SMS, must really thrill the British. This "dream" project is the result of a collaboration between the PG Tips company and Orange.

The product, called ReadyWhenUR, is in a fact a regular silver teapot fitted with a radio receiver, which is programmed to react to the messages transmitted by the owner's SMS messages. The mechanism also includes an electric circuit and a mechanical system.

In order to turn on the device, the owner will write "switch on" in the SMS message. He could be miles away or right in the next another room, either way the teapot will have the water boiling in no time.

The gadget marks a new chapter in the history of technological evolution, or at least that's what the inventors of the concept are trying to convince us of. Indeed, by saving the effort of making a few steps to the kitchen, pressing a button and waiting a few minutes before the water boils represents a huge advance for humanity.

Still, the owners of such a high-tech teapot will be able to brag about having a wireless kitchen.
