SMK-Link Electronics Corporation, remote control OEM, has launched the Bluetooth Calculator Keypad for Mac users in the United States and the U.K.

The Bluetooth Calculator Keypad features integrated wireless technology to deliver cordless keypad and calculator functionality for iMac, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and Mac Pro users, according to the developers.

It’s also good to go for Windows PCs, they say. However, from design to function, it’s definitely geared towards the Mac platform.

The product’s core feature is, of course, the numeric keypad for extended data entry and spreadsheet computing.

If you put it in calculator mode, it doubles as a stand alone calculator. It doesn’t stop there, though. It also sends calculations wirelessly to spreadsheets as typed thanks to a 10 meter wireless range.

For systems with integrated Bluetooth technology, the tool requires no additional Bluetooth receiver, according to the product fact sheet.

Commenting on the release of their new hardware, John Blair, General Manager of Branded Products for SMK-Link, said: “If you’ve purchased an Apple OS X computer over the past few years, it more than likely came with Apple’s redesigned Wireless Keyboard.”

“This elegant keyboard features a reduced-footprint design that provides, however, no numeric keypad. Whether you’re using your iMac, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro or Mac Pro, you’ll need an add-on peripheral keypad for extended data entry or spreadsheet use,” added Blair. “Our new Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard was designed to precisely fill this need, as well as to be the perfect keypad peripheral for Windows laptop computers.”

U.S. customers ca grab one from the Apple Online Store, and other online retailers (as well as from the official SMK-Link website) for $59.99. In the U.K., it’s available from the same locations, as well as from Amazon.co.uk, for £39.99.
