14 DAY TRIAL // If you’re wielding an iPhone 5 or one of the newer iPhone 5s models, you might want to consider protecting that beautiful aluminum finish with a simple case.
Case in point, lgcldesigns really does have a SIMPLcase on offer for iPhone 5/5s owners, and it comes with a number of perks that make it one of the handiest accessories ever for your iPhone.
First off, if you’ve lost your iPhone’s original SIM card ejector tool, this thing actually ships with one of its own, strapped inside a silicone embedding which also accommodates not one, but three different SIM cards (in case you have multiple identities).
Its design is simple and attractive. I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing the Jet Black version on a Black/Slate iPhone 5. The fit is perfect, and the color (while not the darkest shade of black) complements the phone’s design.
It’s not bulky, but it does add just the right amount of heft the iPhone 5 needs. I’ve always thought the iPhone 5 felt a bit too light, so when I strapped on the SIMPLcase, I immediately felt it more solid in my hand.
The SIMPLcase has yet another ace up its sleeve. Two seams on the back allow the owner to slide in the tip of any standard card (credit card, club member card, etc.) and turn the case into a holder, for watching movies or for doing office work (i.e. if you use a keyboard to write documents).
I was actually “lucky” enough to drop my phone onto a marble floor during my review time with the SIMPLcase. It suffered only a couple of scratches, but nothing major. Fortunately, the device landed on its back, not on its front. However, I have a feeling that the front is also protected because the case houses the entire device, leaving only the screen and Home button available for touching.
Which brings me to the one thing I didn’t find so attractive, and that is the fact that the other buttons are harder to reach. The SIMPLcase engulfs the volume buttons and the mute switch, making it a bit cumbersome to reach them.
