SEVEN, a worldwide leading provider of mobile email and messaging software solutions, announced today that its award-winning mobile messaging applications would be available for the Android platform as well. SEVEN comes to Google's OS with both personal and business mobile email, while also offering calendar and contact options on an intuitive interface. The new SEVEN Android client is available to operators and manufacturers that would like to include mobile email solutions on their devices. The developer is showcasing its solution at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

SEVEN will bring to Android robust features like ultra simple activation, the same as the currently available solutions from the company, support for business email, allowing subscribers to access Microsoft Exchange or IBM Lotus Domino corporate email in a secure manner without the need of an additional software.

At the same time, it will also provide easy access to popular Internet email, which would include AOL, Gmail, Microsoft Live Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo!, and others, integrated contact management and search, available both for the contacts stored on the device and for those on the address book and corporate directories, as well as robust calendar support, allowing users to delete, edit or add appointments.

“We are experiencing strong demand from both carriers and device manufacturer partners for Android solutions,” said David Ratner senior vice president, Engineering and Delivery. “We see tremendous opportunity to improve on what is currently available and provide richer, more functional Android devices to end-users around the world. Support of Android is a natural evolution of our strategy to enable mobile network operators, service providers and handset makers to offer a superior messaging experience across a wide range of mobile devices.”

SEVEN is currently deployed by operators as a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution and provides ease of integration with other communication systems. The new Android Mobile email client will be available for download starting with the second quarter of the year both on the Android Market and on the SEVEN community site.
