Leading push-enabled mobile email and messaging solution provider SEVEN has announced recently that it has introduced to its portfolio a new solution for enhancing the capabilities of any mobile phone, the SEVEN Mobile Instant Messaging application. According to the company, the new software is based on its push platform for mass market devices called System SEVEN, a reliable solution for millions of users.

The new SEVEN Mobile IM comes with support for a wide range of IM accounts, such as Yahoo! Messenger, AIM, ICQ, Microsoft Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk (Gtalk), and is aimed at providing users with easy access to one of the services they need, on any device they would like to. The SEVEN push technology is available for both feature phones and smartphones, as it has been included within the Instant Messaging solution, the company states.

The features list of SEVEN's solution includes:
- desktop-like IM capabilities, including buddy lists, presence enablement, status updates, chat, and the ability to find and invite friends;
- branded IM clients, due to the fact that the SEVEN Mobile IM application is meant to match the service provider’s identity;
- continuous connectivity, due to the fact that the SEVEN Mobile IM client will keep working in the background and will deliver notification on status updates and on incoming messages;
- battery-saving features.

“As operators look at new avenues to drive ARPU, sell the value of their data plans and decrease churn, the user experience for messaging services is becoming paramount,” said Ross Bott, CEO and president of SEVEN. “By embedding our proven mobile email solution and our new instant messaging services on mobile devices, everyone, including operators, device manufacturers and end users, will benefit from the improved usability, operational efficiencies, and financial returns enabled by our platform.”

SEVEN plans on showcasing its Instant Messaging solution at the CTIA event in San Diego, October 7-8, 2009. According to the company, it can now offer operators and handset makers the possibility to deliver highly reliable push-enabled messaging services, through its solutions, which include SEVEN mobile email, calendar, contacts, rich messaging and IM.
