Even though the PlayStation 2 sports such an amazing array of titles that you'd be able to reach the moon if you piled them all up, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) is proud to announce the full lineup of artists and tracks to be featured in the upcoming release of SingStar '90s. Yes, the undercut, side-worn cap and baggy jeans are back, hitting the PS2 this August.

An official press release today informs that the game will be featuring nothing but the who's who of the 90s music icons such as MC Hammer, Sir Mix-A-Lot, REM and the Spice Girls, that'll have you and your mates wearing Bum Bags like it's nobody's business. But that's not even beginning to mention what will be featured in the game. How about The Cranberries' Zombie, Billy Ray Cyrus' Achey Breaky Heart and everybody's party favorite, Love Shack from the B-52's.

All the tracks will be coming complete with their original launch videos, capturing the true essence of what it was like to live in the '90s. Basically, the 30 legendary tracks that'll be featured in the game will provide gamers with a great variety of genres from classic indie rock to pop and rap.

Whether you want to perform solo or battle it out with a group of friends, it's your choice as SingStar '90s has something to offer to the most discerning singer. I have to say, we're looking at a future rival for Harmonix's RockBand - the game not only scores you depending on how well (or rotten) you perform, but also uses a technology that recognizes your pitch, tone and rhythm, rewarding you with points for a good performance.

SingStar is said to put you on stage in no time, whether you're an Entertainer, a Comedian, a Diva or even a Shy performer.
