SCEA Rolls Out Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Fact Sheet

Sony Computer Entertainment America and Poliphony Digital have finally rolled out the final details on Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, available both on Blu-ray (at a pricey $60 a copy) and as a PlayStation Network downloadable, for the PS3. The final list of key features is listed below, along with a few more details we've gathered since the game was first announced to date.

First of all, racing fans and Gran Turismo fanatics (myself included) should know that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is not the full Gran Turismo 5 game, set for a 2008 launch. However, for a person who hasn't touched the series yet, it may seem like one. Prologue features over 40 meticulously detailed cars from famous manufacturers Lotus, Nissan and Ferrari (the latter being present in the GT series for the first time), five beautifully rendered tracks from around the globe, online play and running in full HD at 1080p.

Online play is also present in the series for the first time, supporting up to 16 players racing head-to-head, complete with global leaderboards. One last thing and then we're off, leaving you with the full list of features present in GT 5 Prologue.

It has also been confirmed by SCEA that Prologue features access to Gran Turismo TV, a dedicated online channel available exclusively from PSN, delivering content from the motorsport world.
