I do believe that many of you have at least once been in a situation when you wanted to hook up concomitantly the DVD (or VCR) Player, gaming console and camcorder to your TV, which, unfortunately, had only one SCART connector. But somebody has thought of a solution to this problem, and that's how Smart-SCART-PLUS from Bluedelta, a gadget that can simultaneously connect up to eight external devices, appeared.
Thus, the Smart-SCART-Plus includes six SCART and two composite / S-video fully independent inputs, but also a very interesting system for setting the priority of
the video signal sources in being displayed on the TV's screen. Smart-SCART-PLUS decides which device has been selected and automatically switches it through to the TV while blanking all the others. Priority is defined by input number, i.e. Input 2 overrides Input 1, Input 3 overrides Input 2.
The manufacturers have also included in the Smart-SCART-Plus another interesting feature, namely the possibility of recording the video feed coming from the TV (or any other video signal source attached to the device) on a recorder, either a DVD recorder or the already classical VCR. Thus, by means of the Smart-Record system, any combo like VCR-DVDR, DVD-VCR, DVD-DVDR, Camcorder-DVDR, etc., is possible.
Three of the ports of Smart-SCART-PLUS are fitted with Video-Sense, a system enabling any video source not equipped with automatic SCART control, (such as security cameras, baby monitors, camcorders, some home-cinemas, gaming consoles,) to play out via the SCART automatically.
Here are some of the technical characteristics of Smart-SCART-Plus:
- Fully auto-switching;
- RGB out via all SCART ports;
- Automatic RGB Smart-Record;
- Built-in signal amplifiers;
- Hi-Fi Audio output;
- Visual active port indication;
- Power-save mode.
