Super Talent's CFast Compact Flash Storage Cards are an evolved version of the traditional Compact Flash cards. Another storage-solution developer, Team Group, introduced such CF data cards, two of which were secure digital cards and one was the more powerful CompactFlash 600X. Super Talent's product line is made out of two SLC-based (Single level Cell) storage cards and three MLC-based (Multi level Cell) cards, which operate using the SATA interface and exceed the peak speeds of the traditional flash-based cards.

Compared with the fastest CompactFlash cards, which can reach maximum bandwidths of 600X, (90MB/s) the CFast has a bandwidth four times larger, reaching as much as 375MB/s. The card has a single-chip controller and flash memory module and comes in Type I and Type II form factors. Specifically, the Type I measures 36.4 x 42.8 x 3.3mm, whereas the type two has dimensions similar to the CompactFlash, namely of 36.4 x 42.8 x 5.0mm.

Super Talent's CFast storage cards reach this high-speed performance thanks to the SATA interface, which is composed of a 7-pin signal connector and a 16-pin power and control connector. These evolutions of the traditional CompactFlash cards will operate using only 3.3V of power and the product line will comprise five different models, each differing from the other through its capacity and type of flash memory used in its construction.

To be more specific, the aforementioned two SLC-based cards will have capacities of 8GB and 16GB, respectively, whereas the MLC-based CFast cards also come in 32GB, besides the 8GB and 16GB models. The cards can reach maximum read/write speeds of 375MB/s and can operate at temperatures of 32° to 158° F / 0° to 70° C. The cards are designed for an easy plug and play and comply with CompactFlashTM Association specification standards. The products are also shock and impact resistant.
