14 DAY TRIAL // Wireless carrier Sprint announced recently that the SANYO SCP-2700 affordable messaging phone had become available for purchase for its subscribers. The device comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, support for Sprint Navigation, Sprint Family Locator, Sprint Mobile Email Work, Social Zone application, as well as a wide range of other capabilities and features.
“Mobile messaging has quickly become the de facto mode of communication for millions and, whether it’s for kids and grandparents or the seasoned texter, this phone has the ideal combination of usability, style and affordability,” said Andy Kodera, president of Kyocera SANYO Telecom, Inc. The new SCP-2700 sports vibrant colors and an attractive design, including Impulsive Pink, with a subtle floral overlay, and Deep Blue, has a tactile square designer pattern on its back, and it also includes a 1.3-megapixel photo snapper, as well as Bluetooth connectivity, GPS receiver, a 2.2-inch display that offers a 320 x 240 pixel resolution and support for 65K colors, and a Li-ion battery that can deliver up to 4.8 hours of talk time.
According to Sprint, the new SCP-2700 by SANYO comes with support for a series of family-friendly applications like Sprint Family Locator, Social Zone and Sprint Navigation, while also providing access to Photobucket, MySpace or YouTube, as well as to other social networking sites, directly from the mobile phone.
In addition, the operator also announced that the new SANYO SCP-2700 was available for purchase starting May 10 in all Sprint retail channels, including online on the company's site, for a price tag of $29.99 upon the signing of a two-year service agreement, and after a $50 mail-in rebate. Moreover, the phone can be acquired with an affordable Everything Messaging Plan that includes 450 anytime minutes, unlimited night and weekend minutes starting at 7 p.m., unlimited mobile-to-mobile minutes, as well as unlimited text, picture and video messaging, all for $49.99 per month.
