Samsung has just presented the insides of the latest 9-Series slim notebook, on its official website. The laptop is more impressive than the well-known Apple MacBook Air.
The very slim notebook is using a single-sided motherboard. Samsung says that this helps the entire system stay 16 percent slimmer than the usual double-sided notebooks.
Samsung’s display is also custom-made, something other notebook manufacturers rarely have the opportunity to do, and it has a custom circuit board also.
The keyboard uses OLED technology for backlighting and, according to the Korean company, this is the first time a notebook uses OLED lighting instead of the usual LED.
You can move the cursor using a PET polyethylene terephthalate-made touchpad that is thinner than the usual touchpads.
The only standard component used in the 9-series is the mSATA SSD, and this is also the single user upgradeable part in the 9-series.
