For people seeking a cheap PSU that doesn't waste too much power

Normally, we'd be looking for an 80Plus label on a power supply said to possess an efficiency of up to 82%, but there is no such thing on the new 400W PSU from SAMA.

The Chinese company promises 82%, so you'll have to take its word for it on this one.

Anyway, if you do buy it, you'll find a 24-pin ATX connector, 8-pin EPS, 6-pin and 8-pin PCI Express power plugs (one each), three Molex connectors and six SATA power cables.

There is also dual-forward switching topology and high-efficiency PowerMOS instead of conventional transistors.

Finally, the PSU has a 120mm fan and active PFC (power factor correction).

SAMA's PSU was first exposed in April (2012), but has only now reached Chinese stores, for 258 RMB, or $41 / 32 Euro.
