S.T.A.L.K.E.R has a new release date. After the team from Russia announced a series of stages and approximate release dates, this time THQ France (the company that will distribute the game) announced the release period for the fall of 2006.

Yesterday, the website of the Video Game French Agency posted a list of the titles THQ intends on releasing in 2005 and 2006.

The last but one title from the list is S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl, which according to the list will be released on CD, as well as on DVD.

Regarding the exact release date or a price for S.T.A.L.K.E.R, the site provides only some vague information.

At the beginning of this month, an alfa version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R circulated on the Internet, the 320 MB containing two levels from the game.

Next year, on April 26, there will be 19 years since the Chernobyl catastrophe and many expect S.T.A.L.K.E.R to be released around that date.

Let's hope at least that it will be released in fall and not be postponed again.
