Today, S Mobility announced the availability of a new smartphone in India, namely the Stellar Virtuoso Mi-495, with dual-SIM capabilities packed inside.

The new device sports a 4.5-inch IPS touchscreen display capable of delivering a qHD resolution, and features a price tag of INR 10,499 ($193 / €146).

The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, complemented by 512MB of RAM and a 4GB ROM.

Furthermore, it comes with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of external storage space, as well as with a 1700 mAh battery packed inside.

The new mobile phone sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with auto-focus, as well as a 1.3MP camera on the front to enable video calling while on the go.

The specs list of this device also includes Wi-Fi connectivity with support for Wi-Fi tethering, Bluetooth 4.0, support for HSPA, GPS/AGPS/GMS, G-Sensor, Proximity Sensor, and Ambient Light Sensor.

Launched as an entry-level device, the new Stellar Virtuoso Mi-495 runs under Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. The phone is 9.44mm thick, but is said to be “the slimmest smartphone by Indian brand.”

In addition to the new mobile phone, S Mobility also announced the launch of its Spice Stellar Pad Mi-1010 tablet PC, which runs under Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform, androidos.in reports.

The new device features a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor inside, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, and 16GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

It sports a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 pixels display, Wi-Fi connectivity, HDMI and OTG, a 3MP camera on the back, and a VGA front camera for making video calls.

The Spice Stellar Pad Mi-1010 is expected to become available through various retailers in the near future, with a price tag of INR 12,999 ($240 / €181) attached to it.
