Microsoft has confirmed that, despite previous rumors that Ryse: Son of Rome would run at a full HD 1080p (1920x1080) resolution, the upcoming Xbox One game will only run at only 1600x900 (900p) on the next-gen home console.

The Xbox One is set to make its debut in November and Microsoft has begun to hype to up the console and its various games, which will deliver high-quality, exclusive experiences.

Unfortunately for those who want the absolute best, one of the launch-day games, Ryse: Son of Rome from Crytek, won't run at a full HD resolution (1080p).

According to Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg, who mentioned this on Twitter, the Roman-themed hack and slash title will run at a 900p resolution, meaning 1600x900.

The Xbox One will upscale that footage to 1080p, so Greenberg notes that it will still look amazing.
