Rygel 0.17.2 Moves to Gstreamer 1.0

Rygel, a home media solution (UPnP AV MediaServer) that allows users to easily share audio, video, and pictures to other devices, is now at version 0.17.2.

With Rygel, users will be able to browse the media collection on a PC running GNOME, from the TV or PS3 and be able to play any of the media.

Highlights of Rygel 0.17.2:

• Unescaping and CSV parsing in UpdateObject call have been fixed;
• The thumbnails for XBox 360 have been fixed;
• The application now looks for the proper device description XML;
• A regression that caused missing Content-Length headers has been fixed;
• A port to GStreamer 1.0 API has been performed.

Download Rygel 0.17.2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
