Ryan Seacrest Goes to Sin City

The 'American Idol' host, Ryan Seacrest, will soon enough add something new to his resume, as E! Entertainment has just signed him in for a brand new (but not original) reality show, to take place in Las Vegas.

The concept is something of an oldie to the network: last year, E! aired 'Party at the Palms', a series shot exclusively at the Palms resorts. It did enjoy a rather impressive audience but, proving that sometimes ratings are not everything, it was very short-lived, lasting only one season.

Now, 'Paradise City' will try to appeal more to the everyday man, by presenting the lives of young men and women (aged 20 to 30), who come to Sin City in the hope of one day becoming 'someone'. The half-hour episodes of the series will shoot on the streets, clubs and other hotspots, presenting the way in which normal people mean to achieve stardom (modeling, singing or acting).

'Vegas has really become the new mecca for entertainers from all areas: music, theater, dance, fashion and magic. We'll take you inside the lives of people who are working hard to achieve their dreams in a city that holds many temptations to stray from their goals', Julie Auerbach, executive producer on the show, said about the upcoming project.

Production has already begun on the first season, with a scheduled premiere date tentatively set for next spring. Ryan Seacrest features not only as the presenter of 'Paradise City' but also as producer, with his Ryan Seacrest Prods. and Go Go Luckey Prods. to back him up.
