Since October 30, Ryan has kept his silence about his divorce from the 'Legally Blonde' star Reese Witherspoon. But allegations had it as the cause of the divorce his partying ways, long nights spent away from home and cheating with his current co-star, the Australian actress Abbie Cornish.

It was said that it was all these that which made Reese decide to end the apparently everlasting marriage with Ryan, despite having two children (Ava, 7, and Deacon, 3) with him. 'People' Magazine even claims that there is a long history of infidelity and drug abuse on Phillipe's part that was hidden carefully from the press, but there is no evidence to substantiate that at the moment.

However, the actor decided to finally put an end to the rumors and issued a statement that, unfortunately, doesn't either admit or deny that he had been involved with Cornish. 'I'm not a perfect person, but I'm not guilty of a lot of the things that I have been accused of. My priority is and always has been the health and safety of my family', his statement read.

Although rumors about marital problems have constantly plagued the two stars, the news of the divorce came as a shock to the world. Now, Reese Witherspoon has made it official, by filing the papers for divorce and announcing that she has decided to move on from her failed relationship.

However, there is still the financial aspect to be settled, as they don't have a prenup signed and that means that Ryan could get half of Reese's estimated $110 million fortune.
