14 DAY TRIAL // Take that Kim Kardashian! Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have managed the impossible: to hide a celebrity pregnancy and birth so well that it went under the radar for most tabloids. This is something that is very difficult to achieve, nigh impossible some would say, considering that both Eva and Ryan are stalked by paparazzi on a daily basis.
The news comes from Us Weekly, which claims it heard of the baby being born from several insiders. It turns out that Eva Mendes had been pregnant all along and that she gave birth to a healthy baby girl on September 12.
The first baby rumors started in February
For those who haven't been keeping up to date, the pregnancy rumors started in February but were quickly slammed by Eva, who claimed that the media was just overreacting. “It's so ridiculous,” she said at the time on the Elle DeGeneres Show, “It all started because I didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know those X-Ray scanners, which are really creepy? There basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out.”
Well, she did fool us all with the argument, or at least the vast majority, because the paparazzi pretty much let up their hounding. Of course, Eva didn't give them any more chances after that, because she almost vanished from the face of the Earth since then.
On the rare occasions she did come out of hiding, she covered herself up with plenty of clothes and kept her big bag in front of her belly, covering it all up. Then she moved into Ryan Gosling's bachelor pad and she was gone from sight for months. Her last public appearance was in February.

Meanwhile, Ryan was the one who catered to her needs, as insiders reported he did the shopping, the cleaning and the cooking, making sure she wanted for nothing. One insider said, “Ryan goes out and gets the groceries. [Eva's] been wanting pasta, and he's cooking her meals. Ryan has already stepped into the role of caring father-to-be.”
The weird thing is that there have been some breakup rumors in the meantime, but it looks like the couple couldn't have been closer in reality. They first became a couple in 2011, after they starred together in the movie “The Place Beyond the Pines.”
There has been no official statement from the proud parents just yet to confirm that they did indeed have a baby.
