Whether you love your Ryan Gosling with a shirt on or not, it’s always great to see him in public, especially since this boost in popularity recorded in the past few years has only made him even more fiercely guarded about himself and more un-generous with his appearances.

The other night, the AACTA Awards took place in Australia, and Russell Crowe was on presenting duties. However, he is in Los Angeles working on a new movie, so he presented via satellite, from the set of the film, based on his outfit.

Said film, called “Nice Guys” also happens to star this obscure actor named Ryan Gosling, who, yes, did keep his clothes on whilst crashing Crowe’s moment. The entire skit is available in the video below, and was quite hilarious – for a scripted award show moment, that is.

The cast Gosling is sporting in the video is about as real as his torn vintage suit, as you probably guessed. The same goes for his moustache, which is necessary to get that ‘70s vibe needed for the film.

“Nice Guys” is the story of a private investigator who is tasked with solving the murder of a fading adult star and who “uncovers a conspiracy.” The thriller is directed by Shane Black, whose previous credits include “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” and “Iron Man 3” as director, but several other huge action blockbusters (with “Lethal Weapon” among them) as writer.

The film will be out in June 2016, but for a sample of the chemistry between its two leads, the video below is just perfect.
