Ryan Gosling is handsome and in excellent shape, and he knows it. Even so, he doesn’t understand women’s fascination with his ripped body, which includes the enviable six-pack he revealed in films like “Crazy Stupid Love,” he admits in a new interview.
Gosling is now promoting his latest movie, “Gangster Squad,” which is currently running in theaters.
Speaking of how ripped he is, Gosling says that he considers his abs “pets” that require a lot of care but are ultimately useless, the Herald Sun reports.
Plus, having them doesn’t make him all that special because anyone can get them with some hard work and dedication.
“Anyone can get those if they work at it. It's just a lot of exercising,” Ryan says.
“And it's really quite pointless, because you go to a gym and you lift a heavy thing so a muscle grows, but the only thing the muscle can actually do is to lift that heavy thing,” he continues.
“After a while they're like pets because they don't do anything useful. But you have to feed them and take care of them otherwise they'll go away. I feel a bit goofy having them, to tell you the truth,” the actor further says.
These past couple of weeks have been amazing for Ryan Gosling fans because having a new movie out means more interviews with him, which is great, especially considering that he’s rather press shy the rest of the time.
For instance, he’s also opened up a bit to GQ Australia, revealing funny details about his childhood, including how he would always help out his uncle, an Elvis Presley impersonator, prepare his costumes for a show.
In the same interview, Gosling admitted that he loved to knit, saying that his idea of a perfect day would definitely include some knitting.
