Some might think that the only reason crocodiles should stay clear of humans is for fear that they might be turned into purses and whatnot. As it turns out, worse things can happen.

Media reports tell us that, this past Tuesday, a crocodile owned by a circus ended up in a hospital following one very close encounter with a Russian woman.

The woman, who reportedly weighed some 260 pounds (that's nearly 118 kilograms), accidentally landed on the reptile when the vehicle the two were traveling in took a sharp turn, and she pretty much crushed it.

According to Huffington Post, the woman only suffered a few minor injuries. The crocodile, on the other hand, had to be rushed to the hospital due to the fact that it kept vomiting and showed signs of having sustained internal injuries.

By the looks of it, the unlucky circus reptile has managed to recover from the experience, as has the woman, the same source details.

Talking to the press, the police officers who have investigated the case explain that the woman lost her balance and landed on the crocodile due to the fact that she did not have her seatbelt on.

One can only assume that she will from now on wear a seatbelt anytime she goes for a ride in a car, especially if a crocodile is among the other passengers in the vehicle.
