Make money fast (MMF) schemes are not uncommon. Experts warn that scammers have started targeting users with emails that promote binary options trading.

The spam campaign analyzed by Symantec targets Russian-speaking users. Recipients are informed that they can make $3,700 (€2,690) per month without too much hassle with the aid of Binary Code.

When users click on the link from the email, they’re taken to a hijacked domain, from where they’re redirected to a recently registered domain called binarytraders.ru.

Here, users are provided with a list of reasons why they should get involved in Binary Code trading.

Symantec warns Internet users to be wary of money-making schemes, which are particularly popular during the holiday season. The IT security company’s solutions block this type of spam.
