Russian Security for Windows - Outpost Firewall Pro 4.0

Delivering the ultimate in proactive protection for the Windows platform, this is the promise made by Agnitum Ltd. while announcing the availability of Outpost Firewall Pro 4.0 in a press release. The security company has revealed that the product comes with a price tag of $39.95, and includes a whole year's worth of updates. Available in English, Spanish, French, German, and Russian, the Outpost Firewall Pro 4.0 is designed to integrate with Windows XP, x64, 2000, 98 and ME.

"Outpost has always been recognized for its heavy-duty, yet easy-to-use security products," said Mikhail Penkovsky, global vice president of Sales and Marketing at Agnitum. The company is based in St. Petersburg and is Europe's leading developer of firewalls, licensing its firewall technologies to Novell, Sophos and Lavasoft, among others.

Agnitum revealed that the release candidate of Outpost Firewall Pro 4.0 has passed the 50,000 downloads milestone since the product has been made available at the beginning of September 2006.
