We usually bring you news of the latest tablets that grace the market with their presence, but today we have a more bizarre story to share with you. Still, it does revolve around a tablet.

According to the Moscow Times, a man looking to escape arrest in Saint Petersburg has died after eating parts of a smashed-up tablet.

Around 5 p.m on Sunday, a police officer responded to an emergency call alerting the authorities that someone was making a lot of racket while violently throwing things out of the window.

When law enforcement reached the scene, the occupant of the apartment all the noise was coming from, a 41-year-old unemployed man, started to behave in a deviant way.

He started eating pieces of the glass belonging to a smash-up tablet presumably to avoid being taken in for questioning at the police headquarters. One of the police officers tried to stop the man from engaging in this destructive, insane behavior but failed to do so. He even got injured in the process.

Still, the officer managed to call the ambulance, but by the time help arrived at the scene, the man was already dead. The investigation on the odd circumstances that led to the man’s demise is still ongoing.
