Lady Gaga’s latest video, for the single “Alejandro,” was directed by fashion photographer Steven Klein and is meant as a tribute to the gay community, which is something very close to the singer’s heart. Hype for it started to build from the first days that Gaga started shooting for it – so it’s no wonder one particular fan would pay $1 million just to appear in it, as Celebuzz informs.

Several reports about Gaga are making the rounds on the Internet today. Aside from the tumble she took at Heathrow airport, where she tripped on her favorite heel-less shoes and fell to the ground on all fours, there is also a never before heard track of her that seems to have leaked online. But there’s an even juicier tidbit that’s also causing quite a stir: apparently, a fan who also happens to be the son of a Russian billionaire, paid $1 million for just a few seconds in front of the camera.

“According to Gawker, one superfan was willing to drop $1 million for the chance to have a brief cameo on Gaga’s ‘Alejandro’ music video. For $1 million Gaga better be willing to let him direct her video, let alone be in it! Details are scarce on the man, but he is apparently the son of a Russian billionaire who goes by the nickname ‘Arkady’ or ‘Arcadi.’ He is either 30-years-old or 19-years-old (probably closer to the latter judging by his youthful face) and is most likely the son to the 50th richest person in the world, Roman Abramovich,” the aforementioned e-zine says.

“The mysterious Arcadi appears in the music video wearing a fascist-esque leather uniform while starring stoically as images of fire and destruction burn behind him. Arcadi allegedly confirmed his appearance in the video to a Russian tabloid but said that he ‘can’t give further details.’ Mysterious! However, some Gaga fans claim that the man that everyone has identified as ‘Arcadi’ is actually a member of Gaga’s entourage. Not that this means that a Russian billionaire didn’t pay $1 million to get a cameo in Gaga’s video (or that ‘Arcadi’ is actually a billionaire and a member of Gaga’s entourage) but it does call the rumor into question,” Celebuzz further writes.

The tab to which the so-called Arcadi confirmed his appearance in the Gaga video is no other than The Sun. Granted, it may not be extremely reliable but it has a direct quote from the guy, so this has to count for something, it is being said.
