Things in life have a strange way of affecting each other. For example, when the United States imposed its ban on Russia following the abusive annexation of Crimea, no one thought that it would end up affecting the biggest-earning American entertainers.

Yahoo reports that both Miley and Justin have scheduled appearances at Hartwall Arena in Helsinki in June.

Normally, this wouldn't pose a problem, since Finland is in no way connected to Russia, but, as it happens with globalization, the arena is now owned by three Russian businessmen that have been included by US officials on the list of individuals to be sanctioned for having close ties with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Americans have ordered the freezing of assets belonging to the Russian businessmen in question and also banned their travel visas. Now, the concert is promoted by a Finnish subsidiary of Live Nation, which happens to be the largest concert promoter and ticket agency in the world.

The Beverly Hills-based Live Nation has promised that it will work with US authorities to ensure that the sanctions are upheld, which means that Finnish people won't be seeing Miley or Justin anytime soon, or at least not until the Russians give up their interest in the arena.

The people over at Live Nation have expressed their concern over the issue and said that they would be investigating it, “We do not know yet if they will have to be canceled but our lawyers are investigating what it means for us and the venues.”

Apart from Miley Cyrus and Justin Timberlake, there are several other artists expected to perform at the same Hartwalll Arena who might also get their concerts canceled. These include bands such as Aerosmith and Nine Inch Nails.

A senior finance analyst with Yahoo claims that this incredible connection is simple proof of current globalization, “These sanctions were meant to penalize Putin’s regime and all of a sudden, the citizens of Finland and a couple of American pop stars might actually have to change their plans because of it.”

For Miley, that might be too much of a dent, since her current tour in the US, “Bangerz,” is generating enough controversy and cash to last her for quite some time now. At this point, it has become clear that people show up to her events more to see her antics rather than check out the music, although, those who have been in attendance have claimed that Miley puts on one heck of a show.
