The FBI has previously been informed about Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev's radical Islamic views, reports say.

The Independent reports that Russian officials expressed concern over Tamerlan in 2011, and the FBI followed through with an interview.

As I mentioned before, they concluded said questioning session by writing him off as having no terrorist inclinations.

A reports about his mother, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, which I have documented, brought out the fact that Tsarnaev has been on the FBI's watch list since then.

The alleged bomber's application for citizenship later on may have been hindered by his history of interviews regarding terror activity.

Officers have spoken to her personally, and she was aware that they were watching her son. Tsarnaeva lives in Russia and she has also converted to Islam, as has the slain suspect's wife.
