Not so long ago, news that Russia was planning to ditch the Intel and AMD architecture found in most governmental computers in the country made a splash online.

Apparently, officials in Kremlin are so concerned with security that they are planning to implement their own security-savvy Baikal platform chips in the PC used by governmental institutions.

Now mother Russia is making a move into tablets. A local research institute (most likely funded by the government) has created a completely spy-proof tablet which is supposedly immune to today’s hack prone environment, The Moscow Times informs.

As you might have guessed it, the tablet isn't aimed at mainstream customers, but will be made available for the country’s security services.

The devices comes with a smart button that will enable users to physical disconnect communications modules or sensor, thus making the device safe to use.

Furthermore, the tablet comes equipped with the RoMOS operating system which is a specific spy proof OS.

RoMOS is quite advanced, as it is capable of preventing info leaks and can even discover bugging devices. As for spyware, it is impossible for it to form a colony on the device.

We’re not being told details about screen resolution or processor inside, but we know the tablet has 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. What’s more, the slate is quite rugged, boasting dust-proof capacities. It can even work under water (up to 1 m / 3.2 ft for 30 min) and at temperatures as high as 55 C° / 131 F°.
