When news broke that Kristen Stewart had cheated on her boyfriend Robert Pattinson with her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders, it became clear that, for a sequel to happen, one had to go.

As was to be expected, that person isn’t Stewart, who just recently hinted that she might be back for the sequel after all.

Sanders is officially out of the picture, Radar Online reports: the studio will have Stewart back (it’s hard to make a Snow White sequel without Snow White, you can imagine) but not Sanders, who actually made his directorial debut with the film.

“The script has already been written and production will begin late next year. However, Rupert Sanders definitely won't be a part of the project,” an insider is quoted as saying.

Sanders might have opted out of the sequel because he’s “desperate to save his marriage,” the e-zine alleges.
