The popular MMORPG looks better starting today!

Runescape is a game so good, addictive and popular that it can be compared, when it comes to the number of players, to World of Warcraft - Jagex's game has around ten million active accounts registered. The biggest difference between this massively multiplayer online game and WoW is the fact that most of these active members are playing for free, while only about one million are paying a subscription fee. However, it is still one of the most appreciated MMO titles ever released.

But if you are a Runescape player, you probably know that the game has one huge flaw: it looks awful. Yes, it is a Java based game, yes, it moves very fast because of its graphics and yes, the gameplay matters the most, but some better graphics can't be refused if they're offered to us, right?

Well... it seems that this is happening, since game developers Jagex have launched today Runescape High Detail as a beta version for subscribers only. But don't worry - the company plans to bring it to regular players as soon as it makes sure there are no bugs. And this means that it's party time for everybody because this better looking Runescape will also bring, for the first time, the possibility to run the game in full screen through an Internet browser. Could anybody ask for more?

RuneScape is a massively-multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG), set in a fantasy world of warring races, ravaged landscapes and sinister powers - they all look much better starting today. The game is regularly updated (twice a month) with new content, quests, skills and challenges. We can still consider it the 2nd largest MMORG in the world, even though Funcom's Age of Conan is slowly starting to rise up to the challenge and win some ground (when it comes to paid memberships).
