RuneScape is a Java-based MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) operated by Jagex Ltd. It has approximately nine million active free accounts and more than one million paid member accounts.
RuneScape was created by Andrew Gower, the creator of DeviousMUD, the forerunner to RuneScape, in 1998. Rewritten and renamed, the first version of RuneScape was released to the public on 4 January 2001.
Since its release, the game has been noted for its free-playing abilities, its simple interface, and its accessibility on most web browsers. (Wikipedia)
GAMEPLAY HINTS
Easy money
1. Get your smithing level to 25 and your mining level to at least 15. Then. go to Falador Mine at the mining site behind the Falador Castle. Get iron and go to the furnace. Then, go to Dorics (the little dwarf) and smith battle axes and other items such as square shields and long swords, which all sell over 50 gp each at the general store. Do this repeatedly to get easy money. Note: Sleep in the bed near Wayne's Chains.
2. Get your magic level up to 55 (high level alchemy) and buy a Runeite Medium for 8,000 to 10,000 gp. Use it on the Runeite Medium to get 11,500 gp. Buy another Runeite Medium and repeat those steps to get easy money. Note: This spell uses five Fire Runes and one Nature Rune. It is recommended that you get a Staff of Fire if you plan on doing this.
3. There are about seven spawn points for coins. In the wilderness, go to the Dark Warrior's castle and kill them until you get the Rare Black Mace and Black Medium Helmet, which both sell for a lot of gp. Get your crafting up to level 40 and make all kinds of jewelry, which also sell for a lot of money. Make Strength Potions and sell them by the wilderness in Varrock for 1,000 gp. Also make food and sell by the wilderness.
4. If your smithing level is 34 and mining is 20, go to Falador and to the Dwarven Mines. Keep mining until you have about 100 to 200 iron ore banked. Then, make all the bars you can. You should have between 50 to 100 bars. Smith them into Iron Chest Plates then go back to Varrok and sell them to Hovick The Armorer. If your smithing is lower, then smith Bronze Bars and make bronze two handed and large helms and items until you can make Bronze Chest Plates. Make those until your smithing is level 34, then repeat the steps for about 10,000 gp every five to ten minutes.
5. Get a pickaxe then mine at places. At first you will only be able to mine tin and copper. When your mining level reaches 15, you will be able to mine iron ore. When it gets to 20, you will be able to mine silver. You can use tin and copper ore in a furnace to create bronze bars. If you use iron ore in the furnace you will make iron bars, but sometimes the ore will be impure and will fail to create a bar. You can smelt silver ore to make silver bars, then craft that into jewelry. If you are level 30 mining, you can smith coal and trade them in at the Draynor Manor market for coal certificates. You can sell these certificates for 1000 gold each.
6. For easy money and thieving skill (members only), go to Ardougne where the stalls are located. Behind the bakers stall are two houses. You can pick their locks. Go to the one with no upstairs. Enter and search for traps on the chest and you will get ten gp. Go out the door. Pick the lock again and search for traps on the chest once more. Keep doing this and you will have fast thieving skill and money at the same time.
7. If you die, or are just starting, head north of Limbridge. Then, cross the bridge. You will see a house. Go into the house and get the Iron Daggers that respawn. There are also lots of bones for prayer points. Occasionally, Runes and Goblin Armor will appear. Note: Do not do this on a busy server.
8. Get your Mining to level 40, then go to Karamaja and mine gold. Make sure your Crafting is about level 20, then take the gold you mined and make gold necklaces Then, go to Port Sarim to the jewelers and sell all of your gold necklaces. If you get a full inventory, you can get over 5,000 gp at one time.
9. You can fish to make money. It is hard work getting your level up to the right one. Start by fishing Shrimp and Anchovies until you have level 35 Fishing. While doing that, just let Shrimps overflow your inventory because you do not get much money for them. Once you have level 35 Fishing, start to harpoon Tuna at Karajma. The best place to buy a Harpoon is at the fishing shop in Port Sarim. You can sell Tuna for 30 gp. Even though you can sell Tuna for 40 gp at the general store, the price goes down depending on how much Tuna is in the shop. Once you have level 40 Fishing, start to fish Lobsters and sell them for 50 gp each.
10. Get your mining (mine lots of iron), smithing (smelt and smith the iron), and crafting (get cow hides in the field by Lumbridge, put it in the bank and when you get around 500, tan them and make them into the best leather item you can) up to level 40. Then, go to the Crafting Guild (north of Remington) at a time when there are not many people playing. You will need a Brown Apron and bring a Pick (Adamanite or Rune recommended).Mine the gold ores then deposit them at the Eastern Falador bank. Then, go back and mine. When you have 200 to 250 ores, smelt them and make them into necklaces. If you have gems, you can make an amulet out of it. Sell the necklaces ten at a time at a general store (when they are out of stock of necklaces) for 1195 gp. Plain amulets are only worth about 800 gp for ten, unless it is a gem amulet. If you had 250 gold ores, you will now have about 240,000 coins. Repeat this as many times as desired.
11. Go to Lumbridge. Go to the general store then go behind it. Walk east until you see a brown path. Follow it southeast until you see a house. In your mini-map you should see a dungeon mark. Go to the mark and you should find a locked trap door. Pick the lock (members only) and go inside. You must have level 15 to 20 Thieving. Pickpocket people and sell the items.
12. First, get level 41 mining and do Rune Mysteries quest. Mine 1,00 Ess, and sell them for 35 gp each. Buy a Rune Pick, then mine Iron. Mine 15,000 Iron Ores. With the Rune Pick this will require a few days. Sell each Iron Ore for 75 gp each, and get 1,125,000 gp. Buy 22,500 Iron Ores for 50 gp each. Be firm with the prices. Sell all the Iron Ores for 150 gp each, and get 3,375,000 gp.
13. Finish the Rune Mystery quest, then go and mine Rune Essence. Then, go to Varrock. Go east to the bank. Take an Air Talisman and 25 Rune Essence. Use Air Talisman with the Mysterious Rune. Trade with people and offer 25 Rune Essence. They will accept and give you 2,000 gp and Rune Essence back.
14. The easiest way to make money for lower levels (level 40 and under), is to get a brass key and enter the shack just northwest of Varrock. Kill giants (level 28) and collect the Big Bones. Collect as many as required, then sell them in World 1-3 for 400 to 420 gp each. If you have over 1,000 Big Bones some people may buy them for 500 gp each.
15. If you ever want to go to Castle Wars, there is a cheaper way. If you go to Port Sarim there is a ship to the south that you can charter to Port Khazard for 1,000 gold or more. However, if you use 30 gp to go to Karamja you can charter another boat on the other side of the same Karamjan dock to Port Khazard.
hi, i think the best way you make money on runescape is,
MEMBERS:buy about as many mithril cases as u can,
then plant flowers ONLY PICK: RED, BLACK, AND WHITE.
SELL FLOWERS THEN REPEAT.
NON-MEMBERS:buy as many clay as u can get as many jugs of water u can get then start making soft clay then sell soft clay!!!

The easiest way to make money as a non-member is to mine and bank as many iron ores as you can stand and then when you get like 5000 of them sell them at the grand exchange in Varrock.

The best way to get money is probaly my fletching for members.(Fletch willow composite bows and sell them for 65-68k at GE)(Repeat)
For non-members(f2p) cut oak logs and sell them at ge for 20gp each.I know you think this is weird but every actually buys it and u can sell 500 for 7k! Best to use adamant or runite axe.
For members again go to God Wars Dungeon and wait for the items or etc. to drop when the Proffesionals KO them. Thank you and reply.

(MEMBERS ONLY) Another good way to make money in rs, is to go to the abandoned shack near the GE (grand exchange)use the brass keyopen the door and to go down the ladder and run past the mining area. Continue down the path and look for an iron gate that says u are going to the wildy. Walk through and u will see some thugs but they are not what ur looking for, if you walk down the left path u will find some mages or somthing, they drop herbs that can be sold for a fair amount of $$cash$$. too get good items, you get mind and air runes and kill the leser demon or the prisoners in the jail and get there items, and then you could sell them if you want.

i think the best way for non mems to get $$$ is if you have 34 smithing and 30 mining and a good picaxe make heaps of steel bars (1 iron ore, 2 cole ore) then make steel nails(15 steel nails per bar) and for 1 steel nail it is about 24 gp but if you and get heaps and make steel nails sell them at g.e(grand exchange) you cant make about 2k

Buy a brass key and go into the abandoned shack NW of Varrock and go down the ladder. Kill the hill giants until you canthold anymore herbs,limpwort roots, and big bones. Sell them at the GE. This is an easy way to get money and XP.

The best way for non-members is to mine rune essence in varrock and keep storing in bank until u think u hav enough and sell at grand exchange for 37gp.

I think the most easy way to get money would probably go to the wilerness and get big bones and sell them for 500 gp each. (members or non-members)
I think that the best way to earn money in runescape is to go into the wilderness to where the lv 152 dragons roam and pick up white berries. Each one can sell for over 700gp at full price, and never sell for less then 600gp. If you use up all your spaces you can make near 20k at a time. In a week of doing this you can have several million. This way is dangerous but worthwhile and anyone attempting this should bank all items in the wilderness bank.
i think that the best money making way is to get 55 mining and mine mith and bank until level 70 mining then mine addy and bank until about 10k mith and addy ore in bank then either sell them all for a mil or atleast a few hundred k or smeltand smith them and sell for more. Happy $'ing!
ps: always mine on unpopular worlds like world 63 or 32, NEVER mine on world 1,2,3,4 and 5.
Well, I think the very best way to earn money on Runescape is too kill Steel Dragons after about a week or so you will get a Visage which will make you around Twenty-Three million coins this is for Members only.

i make nearly 50 million in one hour by big bones in hill giants but u have to be swift or somone ll take ur giant and also they drop limpwurt roots which are worth a lot i made 500 million one time!

heres is a VERY easy way to make money for members.
Go to the abandoned shack next to grand exchange, go the opposite direction of the hill-giants, until you see a big gate, then open the gate, it leads into the wilderness but, go to the left and there will be druids, kill those and ONLY pick up the snape grass, and ranarr, then get 38 herbolore, and make pray potions.
they sell for 7-9k depending on demand in the grand exchange, and 10 of them is 80k
