The whole world is going through a pretty tough period right now, but that doesn't seem to be stopping Runco from pursuing its business model, namely that of releasing high-end, extremely expensive audio/video products, designed especially for those people whose budgets are way above average. And that's also the case with the company's latest release, namely the CineWall CW-95H, an in-wall HD projection display that supports the company's famous CineWide 2.35:1 cinema experience.

According to the manufacturer, the Runco CW-95HD is a completely self-contained projection system, featuring a huge, 95-inch, 2.35:1 aspect ratio front screen. Furthermore, the unit sports a low-profile design with sloping side panels, which enables smaller spaces to fit the rear assembly into a wall area, hence requiring less than 33 inches in depth.

In order to provide full HD resolutions, the CW-95HD has been equipped with Runco’s SuperOnyx DMD chipset with ConstantContrast frame-by-frame contrast correction, while the CinOptx lens system incorporates O-Path light path enhancement for sharp-looking video. Additionally, it also features a Vivix II internal processing system, as well as CineWide technology.

Furthermore, in order to keep the projection system at a minimum noise level, the device also sports an internal engine cooling design that reduces the need for excess cooling fans. Furthermore, the CW-95HD also comes with an InstallerDependent design, including ISFccc calibration control suite, as well as extensive connectivity (HDMI w/HDCP, DVI w/HDCP, Component (RCA), HD-15 (PC), S-Video, Composite and RS-232).

As mentioned right from the title, the CineWall CW-95HD is one uber-expensive home theater system, retailing for an estimate 45,000 US dollars. It remains to be seen just how many customers are willing to cough up that kind of money, but, then again, not everyone's affected by the financial crisis in exactly the same way, are they?
