Runaway: The Dream of the Turtle or Runaway 2: The Dream of the Turtle, as the PC version of this game is known, is the second installment in the Runaway series of adventure and puzzle video games. This new edition places the main protagonist, Brian Dasco, in search of his long lost girlfriend.
During his expeditions into over 100 foreign locations, he will have to solve puzzles and mysteries, all while helping others find their loved ones. Developed by Pendulo Studios and published by Focus Home Interactive, it has been released for both the PC and the Nintendo DS platform on November 30, 2007 in PAL territories and reached North American shores in the second quarter of 2008. A sequel has already been planned, Runaway: A Twist of Fate, which will be the third installment in the series.
The game has a variety of unique and hilarious puzzles that offer quite a bit of a challenge to players who need to make use of the DS' stylus controls in order to solve them all. In addition to the touchscreen mechanics, the DS version of the game also has a new graphical codec that will make it extremely enjoyable to new players.
Gamers will get a chance to go from Alaska to Hawaii and almost anywhere in between, under the sea or up in the sky, in order to find Brian Dasco’s girlfriend. Settings like a tropical jungle or luxury yachts aren't uncommon, as his quest will take him on a big number of interesting places.
