The morning commute in an area in the UK was halted yesterday when train conductors had to stop for a runaway cow.

The cow got itself on the train tracks, prompting a delay between Bristol, Taunton and Exeter. According to the Mirror, train traffic was stopped for two hours as officials struggled to control the animal.

The cow first made its appearance at the Nailsea and Blackwell station in Somerset. Network Rail officials explain that, sometimes, things like this happen in rural areas.

Passengers described on Twitter how the cow had to be literally chased on the tracks. Most of them were worried because they were late to work, but some took to humor to express their frustration and disbelief.

“Trains are delayed. Kamikaze cows everywhere #yolo,” one user tweets.
