Social game developer Zynga might be ready to announce a direct sequel to the FarmVille game that has powered much of its initial success.

Superannuation has managed to find a copywriter working at Zynga with a CV that states he “contributed concepts and copy for several new business presentations, including the successful Malibu Black and FarmVille 2 pitches.”

FarmVille has been the first social video game to get the attention of the mainstream gamers and has been the first Zynga title to dominate Facebook.

Since then Zynga has launched a string of social games that have used many of the mechanics FarmVille pioneered.

Recently, the company has announced that it was considering launching its games on other platforms than Facebook and has also introduced a new independent website where its titles can be played.

The original FarmVille continues to be very popular on Facebook and has managed to record a player total of 27,400,000 average users during last week.
